You’ve probably experienced consuming a large amount of sugar, after which your energy level drops significantly – for example, by drinking an energy drink, soda, or eating a portion of pick-and-mix candy. At Hi, we’re interested in giving you the energy boost you need, but without the ‘crash’ afterward. That’s why we’ve formulated Hi the way we have: With wheatgrass, guarana, ginseng, and coconut water, all of which are classified as superfoods. This way, Hi is a healthier alternative to other energy drinks on the market. The idea behind Hi drinks is that we focus on nutrition and energy instead of large amounts of sugar and caffeine. Since our energy drink contains only about 3 grams of sugar, you feel refreshed and hydrated.

Say Hi to one of our superfoods: Coconut Water
One of the superfoods we use in Hi drinks is coconut water. Since coconut water is made up of 95% water, it helps with hydration. This is one of the reasons coconut water is found in several sports and energy drinks: The body loses fluids during exercise, and coconut water can help rehydrate the body afterward. Additionally, coconut water contains various minerals such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium. Many people also drink coconut water in its pure form after exercise because of its natural electrolyte content. Electrolytes can be very helpful if, for example, you’ve been sick and lost a lot of fluids or have lost your appetite. Electrolytes help bring the body back into balance. Coconut water is an essential part of Hi, as it hydrates and contains electrolytes – potassium, sodium, magnesium, and more – which provide energy in a good and natural way. At the same time, coconut water has a low calorie content – in fact, only 18 calories per 100 grams. However, there’s not that much in one can of Hi, but there’s enough to provide you with some of the good benefits and nourishing elements that coconut water contains.

When coconuts are still light green, they contain coconut water – in fact, they can hold up to half a liter. As the coconuts mature, the water content decreases, while more fruit flesh develops, and the coconut water becomes thicker in consistency and later turns into coconut milk.
